Setting the File Format
The file format can be set in either the WireTap Studio controller using the Format Presets menu, or for more control over settings and quality, in the format pane of the WireTap Studio preferences.
To set the file format in the WireTap Studio controller:
- Click on the Format Presets button in the controller display.
- Select one of the preset file formats, or select Custom...to specify a format and settings in the format pane of the WireTap Studio preferences.
To set the file format in the format pane of the WireTap Studio preferences:
- Go to the WireTap Studio menu and select Preferences, then click on the Format button, or click on the Format button in the lower left of the controller. Selecting Custom...in the Format Presets menu will also open the format pane of the preferences.
- Set the file format and the settings associated with that format.
Use the LivePreview button to listen to the source audio encoded at the settings you have chosen before you commit to the recording.
When Custom is chosen in the Presets menu in the format pane of the preferences, click on the plus sign to save that custom setting to the Format Presets menu in the WireTap Studio controller.
